Hello? Are you living in the same reality I’m living in? Disney is a gigantic corporate machine, with its fingers in about a billion and one aspects of the market. Will there be people who would boycott the film and Disney as a whole if Disney were to take that step? Yes, absolutely. Are there people who would refuse to see the film, but continue to support Disney in other aspects? Another yes. Are there people who are already avoiding Disney because of the company’s racism or sexism or what have you? Pretty sure there are.
People also seem to completely neglect the spending power of the LGBT community and its allies (I mean, even the shitty nominal allies would probably still go see the movie). We’re here, we’re queer, we’ll buy your shit if you treat us like people.
