Straight privilege is marching in a Pride parade as an “ally” with a GSA and feeling the need to yell “STRAIGHT PRIDE!” while you high five the crowd. When someone pulls you aside and tells you “hey, can you try not yelling ‘straight pride’ all over the place at this here pride parade” you must play dumb and ask the chick “why should I stop. I am straight. This is a celebration of my sexuality”

When it is further explained to you how this is a safe space and this is a celebration of communities who are often oppressed, you must ignore her to assert how much you like her and how much you want her to be your girlfriend after she explains that her definition of “queer” is fluid so you feel you have a chance, because you didn’t know that “queers go both ways”. If you don’t assert you like pussy you may no longer have a chance with said girl and even though she has made it clear that she is not interested, you must continue to pursue her for a week.

Long story short, straight privilege is being able to assert your heterosexuality, during a celebration of people who are persecuted for their sexuality.

I knew I should have defriended this guy when he posted nothing but smug athiest statuses on his facebook, but somehow it took facebook telling me that he was a fan of Tosh.0 to do it.

Watching this humorous video, having a little giggle then slowly realising the horrific message behind it. I relax, thinking that most guys wouldn’t go that far. 

Then I come across this comment:

‘The originality of this skit is awesome, but I strongly disagree with the message. Like someone already said, it’s true, most girls are attention whores in a way. They wear low cut tops, have pics of them bar hopping and drinking with their attractive friends, have no privacy settings, add anyone, and then they get pissed off that random guys hit on them? Consider it a compliment, number one, that people are interested in you, and number two, tell the guy why before blocking him. Hate this shit.’

I’m terrified for any woman that is in this guys life.
